Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Dao Rituals (“we”, “us”) handles information in our iOS apps (the “Apps”), including Dao Sleep, legacy Dao Chant, and future titles such as weight-care, height-support, elder-care, and pediatric feeding apps under the same brand.
1. Short summary
- We design Apps to work with little or no personal account data.
- Many Apps do not require login (Dao Sleep is account-light).
- Health-related data (when you allow it) is read through Apple Health / HealthKit and is intended to stay on your device unless an App clearly offers cloud sync you turn on.
- The Apps are cultural self-care education, not medical devices, diagnosis, or treatment.
2. Information we may process
2.1 Information you enter in the App
Check-in answers, path selections, notes, preferences, and similar content you type or tap. These are typically stored on your device.
2.2 Health & fitness data (optional)
If an App requests HealthKit access and you approve it, that App may read only the types described in the system permission sheet. Examples:
- Dao Sleep: Sleep Analysis (including sleep recorded by Apple Watch and synced into Apple Health).
- Future Apps: may request other Health categories relevant to that theme; always shown in Apple’s permission dialog first.
We do not use HealthKit data for advertising or data brokers. Unless an App explicitly offers a cloud sync feature you turn on, Health data is processed on-device to show charts or gently adjust guidance.
2.3 Accounts & purchases
Some legacy Apps (for example Dao Chant) may use Sign in with Apple or App Store subscriptions. Paid downloads and In-App Purchases are handled by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details. Apple processes Sign in with Apple and App Store billing under Apple’s privacy terms.
2.4 Diagnostics
If you enable analytics/crash reporting at the system or App level, Apple or the App may collect anonymized diagnostics to improve stability. We do not sell this data.
3. What we do not do (baseline)
- No selling of personal information.
- No building advertising profiles from HealthKit data.
- No requirement to create a social network account to use core features of Dao Sleep.
4. Children
Apps aimed at caregivers (for example a future pediatric feeding title) are intended for use by adults. Do not submit unnecessary personal information about children by email. We do not knowingly collect children’s data for marketing.
5. Data retention & deletion
On-device data remains until you delete the App or clear App data in iOS Settings. To request deletion of information you emailed to support, contact tangrun2001@icloud.com. Where an App offers in-app delete-account / clear-local-data controls, use those as well.
6. Third parties
Apple provides App Store, HealthKit, Sign in with Apple, and related OS services under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. If a future App adds a third-party SDK, that App’s store listing or an updated version of this page will name it.
7. Changes
We may update this Policy as we ship new Dao Rituals Apps. The “Last updated” date will change. Material HealthKit expansions will also appear in the App’s permission text.
